Equilibrio Dinamico was founded in 2011 by Roberta Ferrara, the company’s Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer. Alongside her works Vincenzo Losito, General Manager and Head of Production.

Since 2021, the company has been officially recognised by the Italian Ministry of Culture, the Puglia Region, and the Municipality of Bari as a Dance Production Body (Organismo di Produzione della Danza) — acknowledgements that affirm its identity, vision, and structural solidity.
From the very beginning, Roberta Ferrara has worked to build a contemporary repertory company with an international vocation, involving multiple choreographers in the creation of new works.
Equilibrio Dinamico has been described as “a voice outside the choir, highlighting an artistic strategy that diverges from the tendencies of young Italian dance, with the aim of creating a company with a strong European profile, capable of fostering synergies among artists.”

Today, the company operates permanently from its headquarters in Bari, Southern Italy: a European-minded space with three studios dedicated to research and creation, and a study area with an internal library and video archive. The venue also hosts events, previews, residencies, and performative activities — a living, active home. A place that breathes dialogue and internationality.
