Since 2021, the company has been officially recognized by the Italian Ministry of Culture, the Puglia Region, and the Municipality of Bari as an Organismo di Produzione della Danza (Dance Production Body) — acknowledgments that affirm its identity, vision, and structural solidity.

From the outset, Roberta Ferrara has worked to build a contemporary repertory company with an international vocation, involving various choreographers in the creation of new works.

Equilibrio Dinamico has been described as “a voice outside the choir, highlighting an artistic strategy that diverges from the trends of young Italian dance, with the aim of creating a company with a strong European profile, capable of fostering synergy among artists.”

Today, the company operates permanently from its headquarters in Bari, Southern Italy: a European-minded space equipped with three studios dedicated to research and creation, and a study area with an internal library and video archive. The venue also hosts events, previews, residencies, and performative activities: a living, active home— a place that breathes dialogue and internationality.

Alongside production, the company promotes residencies, co-productions, and commissions that build an ecosystem of exchange among artists from different countries, backgrounds, and sensibilities.

Equilibrio Dinamico has been presented at festivals and theatres across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, and has collaborated with numerous Italian Cultural Institutes — including Mexico City, New York, Athens, São Paulo, San Francisco, Ankara, Cologne, and Zagreb — consolidating an international dimension that is continuous rather than occasional.

While oriented toward the world, the company maintains strong local roots, developing audience-engagement and cultural-mediation projects with the Puglia Culture network and institutional partners, generating proximity and dialogue with communities and citizens.
