Equilibrio Dinamico Pathway

Equilibrio Dinamico Pathway
Listening Practice by Roberta Ferrara

Pathway is a practice that connects studio and life.
It is a path of transformation — a process through which something takes shape, evolves, and moves from the studio into the broader field of human experience. It is the training through which the dancers of Equilibrio Dinamico cultivate themselves, and the practice I lead in seminars and masterclasses internationally.
.

In Pathway, words guide movement: they do not merely orient, but embody images, intentions, and qualities, transforming technique into emotional and energetic experience.
Form becomes content, meaning, vision.
Gesture becomes a place of significance: a body that thinks, feels, and communicates.
A practice in which clear intention leads to clear, fulfilled movement.

Rooted in the principles of yin–yang and nourished by the ritual dimension of tarantism, the practice alternates stillness and impulse, concentration and freedom, until it creates a terrain of collective trance in which physicality becomes poetic language.

Throughout my deliberately nomadic training journey, encounters with artists, readings, methods, and diverse movement languages have left traces from which I kept what resonated with my nature — returning it transformed through a personal gaze.

Pathway is the living synthesis of that journey.

I have had the privilege of leading classes in different contexts and countries, including: Theater Basel (CH), Teatrul de Balet Sibiu (RO), English National Ballet School (UK), Delattre Dance Company (DE), Northern School of Contemporary Dance (UK), Copenhagen Dance Festival (DK), Conservatorio Profesional de Danza de Lugo (ES), Korea Ballet House (KR), Yeungnam University (KR), Conservatorio Internacional Annarella Sánchez (PT), Eko Dance Project (IT), Experimental Film Virginia (USA), Mosa Ballet School (BE), Moravian Theatre Olomouc (CZ), Prague Dance Conservatory (CZ), Fondazione Orsolina28 (IT), ODT International (SGP), Morikawa Ballet Academy (JP), Elàn Ballet (IN).

The experience of this training remains and returns over time — in gestures, in choices, in one’s way of inhabiting movement and of imagining it.
It builds awareness and sustains personal research across time.
A passing of the torch that continually renews itself.
