Is there a greater tragedy than to fall? Falling from the security of a perfect balance, falling from a state of grace, falling prey to love. When falling from the Apollonian symmetry, men experience the intoxicating feeling of surrender, the pleasure of danger, where the Dionysian ecstasy is close to death. Intrinsically linked to the relationship between bodies and the laws of Physics, the idea of fall and recovery creates a subtle intertwining of physical articulation and psychological response. Kick Start was born out of the awareness that every movement in dance already existed in nature. Fall and recovery concern men wholly. We fall and recover every moment of our lives.
